Hydraulics in Artificial Lift

When dealing with CT the frequent question is... what about pressure loses induced by the flow of fluids?
We have to differentiate between continuous pumping and intermittent displacing of fluids.

In drilling or work over, pumping (high rate-continuous pumping) pressure loses have to be considered, but in artificial lift, particularly in rod pumping wells, refer as pumping, we are intermittently displacing fluid to the surface, and pressure loses are not a concern.

The production rates typically obtain in rod pumping wells can easily be displaced to surface with small diameter CT.
